Teachers: Jacqueline was such a wonderful presenter and has an amazing talent to entertain. Through her witty and humorous tales, she inspires children about the wonders of reading and writing and has left an impact on all children who were lucky enough to hear her. Jacqueline is an inspiring and humorous author who brought entertainment to us all via Zoom during lockdown. The teachers and students loved listening to all her stories! Thank you so much for making our Book Week event so enjoyabl [...]
Students really enjoyed meeting Anil and making connections to her illustrations while learning more about her creative process. Her presentation was engaging and well paced, allowing students to gain a deeper understanding of how an illustrator brings a story to life. The interactive elements encouraged thoughtful participation, and her work with small groups gave students valuable opportunities to ask questions, share ideas and feel supported in their own creative thinking.
Our visit from Cartoon Dave was extraordinary. The experience more than met our expectations. Dave was on time, zany and kept the children and adults thoroughly entertained for the duration of their sessions. He was very explicit about what he needed for the visit, without be demanding. I would thoroughly recommend Dave to other schools and especially small schools, such as ours.
Year 5 students and teachers gained so much from Michelle’s presentation. The teachers took many notes to enhance their poetry unit for next year.
Nicky Johnson presented to our Prep to Year 3 students as part of our Book Week celebrations. Her warmth, creativity, and passion for storytelling truly inspired our young readers, writers, and illustrators. Students were captivated by Nicky’s engaging sessions, which she skilfully tailored to suit each year level, making the experience meaningful and memorable for all.
Our students were thoroughly engaged throughout Joel's energetic performance. He tailored his talk to meet our current speaking and listening student needs and fostered a love of reading. Thank you!
Speakers Ink ensured that we had information that supported both the author and school with the performance.
Megan captivated her audience as she shared valuable insights into her writing process. Megan inspired our students to share their thoughts, ideas and feelings through writing. She made her books come alive as she used excerpts to highlight her ideas. Our students (and teachers) loved her session.
We thoroughly enjoyed our visit from Brian Falkner. The kids are still desperate to get their hands on his books when it comes to borrowing time each week! Brian was funny, entertaining and creative in his approach with the kids. His presentation was fantastic and even the teachers were raving after his day with us. We would definitely recommend him to other schools and certainly have him back again.
Our student's at St Joseph's have been reading Corinne's books in for many years and were so excited for her visit. She did not disappoint, and I would highly recommend her to other organisations. She engaged the students by speaking about her writing and was open to questions from our students. Thank you so much Corinne, we cannot wait for you to visit again.
Paula’s presentation was greatly appreciated by participants, who found it very inspiring and useful.
Your presentation was fascinating and I thought the way you linked the story with the research process and family connection was perfect
