What people are saying
Thank you so much for coming in today and sharing your wonderful book with our class. The children were truly engaged throughout the session. They listened with excitement, asked thoughtful questions, and were inspired by hearing directly from an author. It was such a special experience for them, and we are so grateful for the time and effort you put into making it memorable. Thanks again!
This workshop was exceptional. I loved the content and it has let me wanting to know more. Yvonne is a wonderful presenter: engaging, energetic, passionate, experienced, wise. Thank you.
We had the great pleasure to be able to organise an Author’s week at our school last term. Julie was one of the fabulous authors invited to address some of our classes, receiving more positive feedback from students and their parents than about any other author. She inspired students to write and captured their imagination with stories about her real life experiences. We have worked with Julie on a number of occasions over the past couple of years, and will continue to invite her back to s [...]
Tamsin Janu visited our year 5 and 6 classes. She was a highly engaging speaker who motivated and inspired the students with her real life stories and interactive activities. She was a vibrant storyteller who interacted joyfully with the audience. The students were thrilled to meet the author of their favorite book.
As part of our Imaginative Writing unit, we interviewed Australian children’s author, Jess Galatola about her relevant and timely children’s book, ‘Some Families Change’. This book was a wonderful read and a totally engaging juncture for our students as it brought the curriculum to life. Jess provided so many purposeful and practical strategies to our young and aspiring writers.
Lian held her audience in the palm of her hand for the entire time. She spun her stories and the girls were caught up in the imagination and creativity of Lian's storytelling and taken to an exciting and adventurous place of their own designing. The teachers were all very impressed with the visit, and many stayed to listen as they too were spellbound by Lian's stories. The Year 3 girls who had not read any of Lian's books (and are now queuing up to start "The Rogues") enjoyed the session and lea [...]
Thank you for organising Phil Kettle for us. He was another success story and one of his strengths is that he is an assured writer and the children appreciated that it is his real occupation and has been for years. His books are well known to our students. Phil was prepared to be easy going and also fitted in a visit to a year 5 class which was not on his program. I really appreciate this flexibility.
Such a wonderful morning with Alison McLennan, sharing her magical book Great and Small. The kids had an absolute ball!
We were delighted with Isobelle’s visit and would certainly like to have Isobelle visit again. We would certainly recommend Speaker’s Ink and Isobelle to other organisations and / or schools.
Extremely helpful and understanding as there were multiple changes in the lead up to our booking, one which almost caused it to be cancelled.
So well prepared and a very professional presentation. Engaged the students with activities that met their capabilities. Appreciated her versatility to move from face-to-face to an online visit.
