Engaging, exciting and educational! Shannon Horsfall’s visit to my Year 3 classroom was all of these and more. Presenting a reading of her new book “No Max” was a highlight the children will cherish. Thanks for a truly fabulous CCLC in 2012. We were so thrilled with the response to your sessions and so grateful for all the energy and passion you devoted to each of the workshops you conducted.

It was a wonderful visit last week and an experience that did support many of the messages we deliver to students regarding writing, creativity and engaging in literacy. I was particularly thrilled with the messages Kirsty gave regarding the process and long journey attached to being a writer.

Andrea was a great speaker. She engaged her audiences, across multiple ages in each session. She was approachable, articulate and her content was appropriate for each group. On the lead up to the event, Andrea made contact and went out of her way to tailor her speeches to suit our themes and ethos. She was considerate and thoughtful. I would not hesitate to recommend her as a speaker.

Thank you for all your hard work yesterday; the younger kids were obviously entranced by your stories and the older students very engaged with the writing processes, so well done.

We had great feedback regarding Anne’s visit.She kept the 5 year olds entertained, involved and interested throughout her two sessions with them. Similarly, the Early Learning and Junior School staff found her Professional Learning sessions captivating and thought provoking. Best thing I’ve seen in this school in thirty years!

We had a lovely Literature Event yesterday. Catherine Bateson was fantastic, especially for poetry, all the sessions went smoothly and we have had great feedback from the staff and students. The English department have even said that students would have liked more time with Catherine for the poetry component. We are now thinking about next year and would love to have Catherine back. We had a great time, thanks so much.

Jenny Wang helped us kick off a week long celebration of learning as part of Catholic Week activities at Jubilee Primary. With Jenny's expertise, all students successfully created their own manga characters, inspiring some students to submit art work for the school's mini Art Show. Jenny's own passion for using animation to spread positive community messages could be a great starter for students building their own community message.

Annie came a long way to speak to a LOT of children. She was delightful, just like her books, and the children were engaged and responsive. Annie went to the trouble of bringing lots of her original illustrations and our students were fascinated to observe her serenely painting a watercolour illustration as she answered their questions.
