Sophie was brilliant, informative, tailored to meet what the kids were doing, exploring in class. The writers workshop was also great, kids got a lot out of it and are enthusiastic to write and have their work shared with others. Really enjoyable.

We had Shane McCarthy in the Senior School and he was terrific! Shane worked with Years 7-10 English classes and thoroughly engaged the students. He also struck up many informal and enthusiastic conversations with both staff and students between classes. The English faculty were very impressed with the way in which Shane interacted with the students and got them thinking about their writing and viewing.

I will be booking Madonna again. This year is our third year with Madonna and each year we have been impressed by her professionalism and presentation.

We had six virtual sessions with Chris, spread across two different days. I appreciated that he took on feedback I delivered from the first days sessions and applied this to the latter three sessions. Applying the feedback brought some more structure to the sessions and allowed the students to learn more about Chris and his practice, which showed them why the workshop was relevant and why he was a relevant person to deliver the workshop (as opposed to the same prompts coming from their teachers) [...]

Chrissy's experience as a teacher was very obvious... she was able to handle large groups with aplomb... she engaged all listeners and presented valuable information about the writing/illustrating and publishing processes.

Mark was wonderfully engaging and energetic. His performance style really brought stories and poetry to life, and the students were highly interactive throughout his session. The use of rhythm, rhyme, and audience participation kept everyone involved and excited. Teachers also commented on how well he adapted to the age group and inspired students to play with language in creative ways.

Sandie's ability to suggest an author to fulfil our need made the selection so much easier. Her knowledge of their talents and experience meant that we found Dave and were able to have him confirm in a short time frame. Thanks Sandie for making this such a positive experience.

Kristin was highly engaging with this age group while at the same time encouraging students to tell their own stories. I would definitely recommend her to other schools.

Vikki’s warm and passionate love of books is infectious for students of all ages! She engaged and energised our students leaving the lower grades enthused about reading and writing, while the upper-level students were inspired with practical tips to help make their writing more interesting.

Marco has been coming to our school for many years and continues to delight and entertain the students and teachers.
