Nikki is the most perfect guest author for Prep to Year 3! She brought props, played a musical instrument, sang songs, encouraged the students to dance, read books and presented a drawing tutorial. Allison came today – she was wonderful! She easily adapted each presentation for each year level and was engaging. Allison was very generous with her time and did a book signing at lunch for us. We would definitely recommend her to other schools.

David’s visit met expectations and exceeded them! David was clearly very experienced. He arrived early to set up, stayed back to talk to participants who wanted to ask him questions, and kept the momentum of the group going. I would definitely recommend him to schools and other libraries.

Chrissy's experience as a teacher was very obvious... she was able to handle large groups with aplomb... she engaged all listeners and presented valuable information about the writing/illustrating and publishing processes.

It was engaging and informative. It was interactive for the grade 1s. It really sparked their interest in story writing. It also fitted well with our health unit on emotions.

As part of our Imaginative Writing unit, we interviewed Australian children’s author, Jess Galatola about her relevant and timely children’s book, ‘Some Families Change’. This book was a wonderful read and a totally engaging juncture for our students as it brought the curriculum to life. Jess provided so many purposeful and practical strategies to our young and aspiring writers.
