Best thing I’ve seen in this school in thirty years!

Matt always exceeds expectations. He is at all times, professional and relaxed and we always look forward to working with him at the Library. We would definitely book him again as he is a favourite of staff and patrons alike.

Andrea was a great speaker. She engaged her audiences, across multiple ages in each session. She was approachable, articulate and her content was appropriate for each group. On the lead up to the event, Andrea made contact and went out of her way to tailor her speeches to suit our themes and ethos. She was considerate and thoughtful. I would not hesitate to recommend her as a speaker.

Jenny Wang helped us kick off a week long celebration of learning as part of Catholic Week activities at Jubilee Primary. With Jenny's expertise, all students successfully created their own manga characters, inspiring some students to submit art work for the school's mini Art Show. Jenny's own passion for using animation to spread positive community messages could be a great starter for students building their own community message.

Robert Hoge's visit to A B Paterson College to speak to Yr 7 & 9 excelled expectations. Robert was extremely flexible in fitting-in with the routine of our Activities Days. I will definitely book Robert again, in fact, staff commented that they would love to have him back to speak to all our students. I would thoroughly recommend Robert to other schools - he is an extremely engaging speaker. Narangba Valley State High School students were enthralled by Nick Earls who visited in December. Despite near 40 degree heat inside our multipurpose hall, Nick had our Junior Secondary cohort (of over 1000 students) completely engaged in his humorous tales, modern references and passion for reading and writing. He actively encouraged our students to read more books and spend less time on their screens. We would have Nick back in a heartbeat! (But maybe, After January)

Stephany Steggall is an eclectic researcher and author. I have personally recommended her as a potential Colin Roderick lecturer to the Foundation for Australian Literary studies at James Cook University. During the memorable year we worked together at an international school in Ethiopia, Stephany inspired her public speaking students to great success.

Pamela's visit was very well received by our girls. The PowerPoint presentations and worksheets she used to accompany her workshops with our year 8 and 10 girls were engaging and useful for the girls when thinking about how to successfully structure a story. I would thoroughly recommend Pamela for an author visit to other schools, particularly all girls' schools as many of her novels deal with females as the main protagonists.

I will be booking Madonna again. This year is our third year with Madonna and each year we have been impressed by her professionalism and presentation.

Trevor was very good for our needs. We really appreciated his down-to-earth approach.

It was a wonderful visit last week and an experience that did support many of the messages we deliver to students regarding writing, creativity and engaging in literacy. I was particularly thrilled with the messages Kirsty gave regarding the process and long journey attached to being a writer.

We had great feedback regarding Anne’s visit.She kept the 5 year olds entertained, involved and interested throughout her two sessions with them. Similarly, the Early Learning and Junior School staff found her Professional Learning sessions captivating and thought provoking.
