We were delighted to host Tannya for our school visit. Tannya is an amazing illustrator and students enjoyed her illustrations for Dingo, Kookaburra, Mallee Sky and Heartbeat. She gave the students many tips on how the illustrations were made and shared her techniques. They enjoyed the drawing lesson with her easy-to-follow instructions. Richard Yaxley had our students completely captivated and engaged with his stories. His presentation gave students authentic insight into his creative process and genuine expert advice for writing stories and crafting compelling characters. We'd have him back in a heartbeat!

I have been dealing with Speakers Ink for nearly 10 years now and always find the staff to be very helpful and accommodating, particularly through the recent years. It may have taken 3 years but we finally got Tristan over the border!

Gwyneth Jane Page and daughter Megan were guest presenters at our annual literature Carnivale for 2017. The students thoroughly enjoyed their repertoire and the adventures of PJ Mouse. Both Gwyneth and Megan were able to maintain an interesting dialogue of narrative and illustration that kept the kids enthralled. Not only are Lisa’s books fabulously entertaining and full of heart, she is an awesome and very engaging presenter.Her sessions are fun, inspiring and encourage the kids to think and talk about a range of issues whilst having a seriously good giggle too. She is hands down one of our favourite author guests at our children’s book club and an absolute delight to run sessions with.

Tim visited us at ATC last week for our annual Literary Festival and the effort & enthusiasm he brought to his presentations was very well-received by students and teachers, alike. The boys really enjoyed learning from Tim and I think we may have converted our 1 'surfie' kid to read his first 'proper' book, Occy's bio 'Occy : The Rise and Fall and Rise of Mark Occilupo'. I wanted to let you know about the success of the Writers’ block event, at Robina branch library and auditorium last Saturday. It was such a good day and the feedback we received on the speakers was overwhelmingly positive. Venero was very engaging, great to work with, and pitched his presentation perfectly for the event. He made it so easy for City Libraries to look good. Thanks for your assistance in finding excellent speakers to make this event so successful.
